This app is possible thanks to the awesome work by @dotta and team, along with everyone who has contributed to the main paperclip repo. We love this project and aim to help see it flourish.

pclip.co is a hosted version of Paperclip with an iPhone companion app. You sign up, get a working Paperclip instance, and start orchestrating agents, no VPS, Postgres, or reverse proxy to manage. We run the upstream code with sensible defaults plus a few operational extras: backups, uptime monitoring, and one-click updates.

No. pclip.co is an independent hosted offering. The Paperclip project is built by paperclipai and the contributor community. We're users who wanted a click-to-deploy version and built one.

Hosting and operations only. The Paperclip you get on pclip.co is the upstream Paperclip: same UI, same agents, same data model. We add managed Postgres, backups, TLS, and updates. We don't fork core features behind a paywall.

Self-host if you want full control, you're already comfortable with this type of thing, or you want to modify the code. The official self-host docs and paperclipai-docker make this straightforward. Use pclip.co if you'd rather skip ops and start with agents in a few minutes.

pclip will always have a free version. We plan to explore paid plans for higher usage and operational extras: longer backup retention, more environments, and priority support. Right now everything is free while we figure out what's actually worth paying for.

Yes. Your Postgres data is yours. We provide a one-click export so you can spin up a self-hosted instance or move to another provider. We'd rather lose a customer than trap one.

A few concrete things, with the caveat that we're early and plans will evolve:

Free tier so people can try Paperclip without standing up infrastructure, which we hope grows the user base.

We point new users at the official docs, Discord, and GitHub.

Bugs we hit operationally get filed or PR'd upstream.

As revenue allows, we plan to sponsor maintainers directly. Open to input from the community on the right form for that.

Bugs to hi@pclip.co.
